FOXBITE Brush Soap — Cleaner & Conditioner for Miniature Painting Brushes and sponges.

FOXBITE Brush Soap cleans and conditions natural-hair and synthetic brushes used for miniature painting. Use it to remove acrylic paint, oil paint, and hobby medium residue, then reshape the bristles before drying. It also works well for cleaning reusable miniature painting sponges, including those in the FOXBITE Sponge Toolkit used for stippling, weathering, and paint chipping.

Cleaning Guide

Regular Brush Cleaning

Wet the bristles with lukewarm water. Gently work them over the soap, then massage the lather through the hairs from the ferrule toward the tip. Keep the bristles aligned rather than rubbing them in circles or pressing down on the point.

Rinse thoroughly and repeat if paint residue remains. Blot excess water on the microfiber cloth, reshape the point, and allow the brush to dry.

Stubborn Paint Buildup

Load the wet bristles with soap and gently draw them across the open-cell cleaning sponge. Use light pressure and work in the direction of the hairs. Do not push the point into the sponge, splay the bristles, or bend them back against the ferrule.

Rinse and repeat as needed. Blot the bristles and reshape the point before drying.

Cleaning Painting Sponges

The soap has also been tested with makeup-style and reticulated painting sponges used for stippling, weathering, and surface texture.

Wet the sponge, work the soap into the foam, and gently compress it to loosen paint residue. Rinse thoroughly and repeat as needed. Avoid aggressive twisting or wringing.

Using the Microfiber Cloth

Keep the cloth beside your palette to unload excess paint and water before touching the miniature. Use it when changing colors, adjusting brush moisture, or removing excess paint for drybrushing. After cleaning, use it to blot the bristles before reshaping the point.

The cloth can also be used to wipe palettes and painting tools. Wash and reuse it between sessions.
